My real name is Roger Hellesvig, but all my living history friends know me as Ole Oleson. I have been doing living history for over 16 years. 7 years ago I got involved in 1800 Rendezvous. Also 7 years ago I was made an honorary member of the Old West Society of Minnesota.
Living history brings history to life, I personify a Norwegian immigrant in the various programs and events I participate in. It is a lot of fun as I start getting people involved through lighthearted conversation, and then into an activity.
