Battles Saturday & Sunday. Volunteers Needed To Help Present a Living History Program On Friday.
Join us for one of Georgia's most enjoyable Battles averaging 1500 participants. The Battle of Tunnel Hill, is held on original battle sites and camps, 1863-64 winter quarters of Gen. Pat Cleburne's Division, Army of Tennessee and site of the Clisby Austin House, Gen. Sherman's Headquarters May 7th 1864. The Preserved 1850 Western & Atlantic Railroad Tunnel, Museum & Park ARE now open. Battle site (NOW A WHITFIELD COUNTY OWNED PARK!) is aprox. 20 miles south of Chattanooga, 5 miles off I-75 at Exit 336 (Old # 137).
