Savannah Scottish Games               Savannah, Georgia
The Savannah Scottish Games are a wonderful way to celebrate and experience Celtic heritage.
The American South was settled in large part by Scottish immigrants. The influence of those early Scots can today be seen in the names of streets, cities, and counties, as well as in existing traditions, folklore, and common sayings.
The Savannah Games are held on the campus of the historic Bethesda Home for Boys. Events include piping competition, bagpipe bands, highland dancing competition, Scottish heavy athletics, Scottish immigrant re-enactors, modern Celtic music, border-collie herding and obedience demonstrations, and children’s events.
