Battle of
Westminster “Corbit’s Charge”
Westminster, Maryland
Join us in
commemorating the 143rd Anniversary of the cavalry battle fought on June 29,
1863 with “an almost suicidal bravery” in the streets of Westminster during the
Gettysburg Campaign. Saturday events will be from 10 a.m. until dark with
activities including Civil War encampment, infantry, cannon and medical
demonstrations and a concert by the Benfield Brass Band beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Sunday activities include Civil War-era music, relic and uniform displays,
battle site walking tours, living history, book signings and museum exhibits.
